Workshop: Writing an Abstract

Workshop: Writing an Abstract
Thursday, 21 December 2017, 10:30 AM - 13:30 PM
FCMS 011

The workshop will consist out of two parts. The first part focusses on the do's and don'ts of conference abstracts. Issues to be discussed are the different conference models, conference formats, conference selection, selection of presentation topics, abstract characteristics and abstract evaluation criteria.

In a second part, the workshop will then focus on writing a conference abstract, taking the IAMCR 2018 conference in Eugene (Oregon) as a starting point. The participants will write an individual abstract in response to this call. Divided into small groups, each group will select one or two abstracts. Each group will then legitimize its selection to the entire group, which is fed into a constructive discussion at the end of the workshop.
